I used to think branding was about logos, colours and typography.
Somewhere along the way I realised those are rarely the reason people choose a business.
The businesses that stay with us have an idea behind them. A belief. A different way of seeing the world.
Now, that's what I look for first.
Outside the studio I'm mum to two little girls, serial holiday planner and someone who'll happily spend an hour wandering around a beautifully designed hotel.
HOW I FOUND MY THING.
I think those things have made me a better designer. I notice details. I ask a lot of questions. And I genuinely love understanding why people do what they do.
Because somewhere in those conversations is usually the idea your brand has been waiting for.
Today I work with businesses that already have something brilliant to say. They're helping people, challenging assumptions or quietly changing their industry for the better.
My job is simply to make sure their brand tells the same story.
The slightly longer version of "I'm a graphic designer."
what this means for you
YOU GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.
Big-brand energy. Strategic thinking.
Years of experience building brands that are distinctive and built to grow.
Small-studio touch.
One-to-one focus. Your brand gets my full attention. I understand your business because I take the time to understand you—your why, your vision, what makes you different.
This is rare. Most brand designers either work at agencies where you're a project number, or go solo without the strategic experience to back up the visuals. As a freelance brand identity designer in Bristol, I give you both — without the agency price tag.
I give you both. Strategy and soul.
Some need the full foundation.
Some are ready to elevate what’s already there.
Some just need focused design for a single day.
However you want to approach it, here's a few ways to start.
For businesses building from the ground up.
For brands ready to elevate, not rebuild.
A designer for a day to work on anything you need help with.
